Privacy notice

The South Indian Bowl (119 Trafalgar Road, Greenwich, London SE10 9TX) uses the details you give us only to prepare, deliver and take payment for your order.

What we collect

Your name, mobile number, email address, the date and time you need the food, delivery address and postcode (for deliveries), the dishes you choose, allergy information and any notes you add.

How we use it

To confirm your order and price, send you a payment link and updates on WhatsApp or by email, prepare your food safely around any allergies, and deliver it. We use your postcode to check the delivery distance. Our legal basis is that we need these details to fulfil the order you asked for. We do not send marketing messages unless you separately ask us to.

Who sees it

Our team, and the services that help us run the order: our website and database hosts (Vercel and Supabase), WhatsApp (Meta) for messages, our email provider for order alerts, postcodes.io for postcode checks, and Tide, our bank, when you pay. We never sell your details.

How long we keep it

We delete your personal details 12 months after your order, unless the law requires us to keep records longer (for example for accounts).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details by contacting us at thesouthindianbowl@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
